Built with Next.js App Router and Tailwind CSS, the app offers a seamless and fast user experience with dynamic content updates, interactive charts, and secure authentication. From tracking transactions to managing budgets and goals, Money Nest provides a complete financial overview in a clean and minimal interface.

The Challenge

Most budget tracking tools are complex and overloaded with features, making them difficult for everyday users. The client needed a simple but powerful personal finance system that allows tracking expenses, income, categories, and goals without unnecessary clutter.

The challenge was to build a dashboard that updates instantly without full page reloads, provides visual insights, and ensures data integrity. The system also needed secure authentication, cloud database storage, fast UI rendering, and smooth state management.

Solution

We developed Money Nest using the Next.js App Router for performance, smooth routing, and dynamic layouts. Zustand was implemented for lightweight and fast state management, ensuring instant UI updates across sections like Transactions, Goals, Balance, and Overview.

MongoDB is used to store financial data securely, while NextAuth handles user authentication. A responsive dashboard layout was created with Tailwind CSS, including interactive pie charts, goal progress bars, and monthly breakdowns, helping users visualize their financial habits effortlessly.
