Ruby Rent is a powerful rental management software designed to streamline the rental workflow for construction support businesses. The platform allows companies to manage assets, track rentals, generate quotations, monitor due dates, calculate rent cycles, and manage field operations all in one place. Before Ruby Rent, the client relied heavily on WhatsApp, Excel sheets and manual tracking to manage rentals. With hundreds of scaffolding items getting rented and returned across multiple construction sites, tracking due dates, rent cycles, and pending returns became extremely difficult. There was no single platform where supervisors, admin staff and management could see real-time rental status.
Another major challenge was generating quotations, rent-out notes, return entries and monthly bills without mistakes. Manual calculations often caused mismatches in rent cycles, item counts and total billing. The company needed a robust digital system that could automate rental calculations, store customer data, track all asset movements and provide clear reports for management.
We designed and developed Ruby Rent as a complete rental management solution built with Next.js, TypeScript and MongoDB. The platform includes features such as quotation creation, rent-out management, return entries, damage notes, and automated rent calculations. Each module was built to offer zero confusion and maximum efficiency for both admin teams and site supervisors.
The system now supports real-time item tracking, dynamic rent cycle calculations, customerwise history, due reports, PDF exports, and enquiry handling. User roles were added for admins, staff and supervisors, ensuring secure data access. With a modern UI built on Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion, the application delivers a fast and intuitive experience across devices.
