Overview

About the Project

Engineering teams in the UK, Australia, and the Middle East will happily source precision parts from India when the price is right, but only if they can trust the shop on the other end. MetalRipper had the CNC machines, the engineers, and a growing list of parts delivered to clients abroad. What it lacked was a website that proved any of that to a buyer who had never heard of them. The brief was to build a site an engineering manager in another country could land on, understand within a minute, and feel confident sending a drawing to. That meant showing real capabilities, real materials, real tolerances, and real projects, then making the quote request the obvious next step.

Challenge

What We Were Solving

Buying machined parts from an overseas supplier is a trust decision before it is a price decision. A buyer in London or Sydney cannot walk the shop floor, so the website has to do that job for them. MetalRipper needed to show its CNC capability, its quality checks, and its experience with international customers clearly enough that a cautious engineering team would take the next step.

The company serves very different buyers: automotive and robotics teams, medical device makers, aerospace tooling, industrial machinery, automation, and university research labs. Each cares about something different, whether that is material traceability, biocompatible options, complex geometry, or fast turnaround on small batches. The site had to speak to all of them without turning into a wall of text.

The team also needed to keep publishing. New case studies, services, and client logos are added as the business grows, and the people adding them are machinists and engineers, not developers. Any setup that needed a code change for every new case study would go stale within months.

Approach

How We Tackled It

1

We built the homepage around the questions an overseas buyer asks, in the order they ask them: can they make my part, how precise are they, who have they worked with, and how do I get a price. Each section answers one of those questions and ends with a clear way to request a quote or download the brochure.

2

Proof came before promises. Instead of generic claims, every case study names the part, the material (1018 steel, 4140 steel, or 6061 aluminum), the process, and the tolerance held, down to 0.05 mm. A global customers section with a world map shows where parts already ship, from India to the United Kingdom, Australia, and Abu Dhabi.

3

Industries were given their own focused blocks so each buyer finds their concerns addressed directly: ISO 13485 support for medical teams, material traceability for automotive and robotics, complex geometry for aerospace tooling, and low volume runs with fast iteration for R&D labs.

4

All content lives in Sanity, a headless CMS, so the MetalRipper team can publish new case studies, services, and logos on their own. Pages are prerendered by Next.js and served from Netlify, and every image goes through optimized delivery so a page full of machining photography still loads quickly.

Solution

What We Built

We designed and developed MetalRipper as a fast, content rich website using Next.js and Tailwind CSS, with Sanity as the content backend. The page takes a visitor from a bold promise, precision CNC machining from prototype to production, through services, case studies, global customers, industries, the product range, client proof, and a FAQ, with a quote request always one click away.

Technical SEO was built in from the start. The site ships structured data for its professional services, full service catalog, FAQ, and the countries it serves, along with canonical tags and social cards. It scores 100 for SEO and 100 for Best Practices in Lighthouse, keeps layout shift close to zero, and supports reduced motion settings and screen readers so every visitor gets a clean experience.
